Beifang Wang
I am Beifang Wang, a Professor and Doctoral Supervisor at Liaoning Technical University. After completing my PhD and postdoctoral research, I established a sustained research program in mining engineering. I am currently serving as a Senior Visiting Scholar at the University of Wollongong, Australia. In recognition of my academic achievements, I have been selected for the Ten-Thousand-Talent Level of the Liaoning Provincial Hundred, Thousand and Ten-Thousand Talents Project and as a Young Top-Notch Talent under the Liaoning Revitalization Talents Program.My research and teaching focus on safe coal mining and water-resource protection, with particular emphasis on hazards induced by intensive ground pressure, surrounding-rock control, mine-water resource utilization, and related disaster prevention. I have led 10 scientific research projects at provincial, ministerial, or higher levels, including one General Program and one Young Scientists Fund project supported by the National Natural Science Foundation of China. I have also directed 2 teaching and education research projects and undertaken 20 enterprise-commissioned research projects. My academic outputs include 50 research papers, of which 20 are EI-indexed and 17 are SCI-indexed, as well as 7 papers on teaching and education. I have authored or edited 3 books and hold 11 granted invention patents. My publications include a nationally planned textbook for coal-related higher education under China’s 14th Five-Year Plan, for which I served as Editor-in-Chief.I have received 12 provincial or ministerial level science and technology awards, including 4 second prizes as the first-ranked contributor. I have also received 4 teaching achievement awards, including one first prize as the first-ranked contributor. In addition, I am a recipient of the Coal Youth Science and Technology Award and have been recognized as a National Outstanding Professional Teacher in Mining Disciplines at Chinese universities.
