Dr. Yingjie Zhao is a Lecturer and Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Science and Technology Beijing. His research focuses on the monitoring, early warning, and prevention and control of coal–rock dynamic hazards. To address the challenges of continuously sensing regional stress states and dynamically tracking hazard evolution in deep coal mines, he uses laboratory experiments to elucidate the response of wave velocity in gas-bearing coal to changes in stress state. Building on this, he combines microseismic monitoring, seismic-wave CT inversion, and multi-parameter data fusion to quantitatively characterize regional stress fields in coal seams, analyze stress–energy evolution, and develop intelligent early-warning methods for dynamic hazards. His work has advanced regional stress-field assessment in outburst-prone coal seams from qualitative wave-velocity-based identification to quantitative characterization, forming a distinctive research line of “regional stress-field characterization–coal–rock instability identification–regional risk prediction–local intelligent early warning.” These studies provide theoretical and technical support for the precise monitoring, early warning, and control of coal and gas outbursts and related dynamic hazards.Dr. Zhao has published 16 SCI/EI-indexed papers, including eight in the past five years, four of which are in CAS Q1 journals. He holds 11 granted invention patents, including four as the first inventor. He is the Principal Investigator of an NSFC Young Scientists Fund project and has served as a task leader or technical leader on multiple research and engineering projects. His research achievements have received four science and technology awards, including two first prizes from national professional associations and a second prize of the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region Science and Technology Award. He also serves on the Professional Committee on Mine Safety Monitoring Technology and Equipment of the China Society of Mining Safety and as Assistant to the President of the Zhong’an Safety Engineering Research Institute.
