Preparation progress of 9th ISMSSE in Wollongong and Proposal for the 10th ISMSSE in Shenyang
On May 11, at 7:30 pm, the Meeting of the ICMSSE Steering Committee was held online. Prof. Hani Mitri (Chair of the ICMSSE Steering Committee) and Prof. Xueqiu He (Chair ICMSSE) hosted the meeting. A total of 5 members of the committee participated in the meeting. Prof. Mitri and Prof. He extended a warm welcome and gratitude to all attendees for their valuable contributions.
Prof. Ting Ren, the chair of the 9th International Symposium on Mine Safety Science and Engineering (ISMSSE 2026), provided an update on the preparations for the conference to take place in Wollongong, Australia in 2026. As of now, 32 abstracts have been received.
Following that, Prof. Jun Han reported on the proposal for hosting the 10th ISMSSE (2027) in Shenyang. He reported on the plans, time, location, abstract, conference topics, conference committee, and host for the 10th ISMSSE. The ICMSSE Steering Committee members made some corresponding recommendations for these two conferences.
The meeting of the ICMSSE Steering Committee was a resounding success. We eagerly anticipate the upcoming international conferences in the Australia and China, and hope it will offer ample opportunities for the exchange of mine safety theories and technologies.
